Program Implementation
Based on the specified period, program implementation had not begun. Training of the children and adult facilitators was completed. Implementation of the actual program was, however, conducted during the training of adult facilitators by using a small number of community participants to demonstrate to facilitators how to teach the content, implement the activities, conduct evaluations, and get participants actively engaged in the learning.Community Integration
The three advisory boards, made up of community partners, identified and selected individuals from the community to become facilitators (adult and children) and coordinators for the program. Likewise, the board members, facilitators, and coordinators are responsible for recruiting individuals from the community. The branch manager for Redstone Credit Union will also work with establishing each account for program participants.Technology Integration
In the children’s classroom, a View Sonic Smartboard with an adjustable stand has been provided, and in the adults’ classroom a large-screen Smart television has been mounted on the wall. The equipment in the children’s room is adjustable so that it can be adjusted to the height of the children, and it is a touchscreen so that the children can easily interact with the technology. Also, fourteen laptop computers and one large printer have been provided for use during various program lessons. The equipment was used during the training of facilitators.Sustaining
The advisory board members selected facilitators that had some connections to the site, the trained facilitators for the site will continue to implement the program (PC-FLIPP) or some aspect of the program within their site after CYFAR funding has ended.Form A - Age Group by Ethnicity and Race
